Developed directly from motorsport, the BMW M3 of 1986 was the first of its kind. When the car was presented at the IAA in Frankfurt in 1985, it was a sensation. And with its numerous championship victories in touring car racing, the BMW M3 quickly became one of the most iconic vehicles in the BMW M line-up. It's time to turn the spotlight on the fascinating history of this legendary series, starting where it all began with the BMW M3 E30.

This is an unmolested genuine UK supplied 1990 E30 M3 2.3 215bhp with only 67400 miles and in stunning condition with the great 5 Speed dog leg gearbox. Originally supplied by Central BMW in Birmingham the car has been in the UK all its life and has a great history record with it and has only had 5 owners in total.
It looks sublime in Alpine White II with Black Leather, optional 16” BMW Light Alloys, Tilt/Slide Sunroof, Full Tool Kit, Original Book Pack, First Aid Kit, Warning Triangle and stainless exhaust. The interior has the original leather that hasn't been re-connolised and the rear seats look barely used, the original mats are there still along with the original window stickers and even the running in sticker which would suggest that the screen is original. The dashboard is superb, no cracks and feels like it did in 1990. You will need a cassette to get the best from the original Phillips car stereo.
The M3 was purchased by one of our Directors in 2018 where it had been in long term storage since 1997, it came with the original A to Z, a ticket from the Goodwood Revival in 1997 and a rather worn Donna Summer cassette. It was then fully mechanically recommissioned, which didn't take much as it was in such great condition. A full service with the brake callipers sent away for full professional refurbishment, all fluids changed, auxiliary belts replaced, new plugs, rear shock absorbers, new brake discs and pads were fitted. Latterly new fuel pump and clutch slave cylinder were also fitted.
It has full BMW and specialist service history including the running in service right up until it went into storage in 1997 and since 2018 it has been serviced by specialists, with the most recent in September 2021 only 1000 miles since its last service. BMW UK have confirmed 8 visits to BMW dealers.
Underneath the car is lovely with factory wax still covering much of it, with an ice blast it could look incredible.
