2014 (64) Porsche 911 GT3 PDK - Porsche Warranty 2029

The Porsche 991.1 GT3 marked a massive technological reset for Porsche’s motorsport division. It introduced electronic rear-wheel steering, dual-clutch transmission and direct fuel injection to the GT3 line for the first time. Featuring the classic GT3 rear aerodynamic wing and wide body, the muscular stance of the 991 GT3 is instantly recognisable.

The 9,000 RPM engined replaced the race-derived Mezger unit and featured an all-new 3.8L flat-six with titanium connecting rods, forged pistons and direct injection to reliably hit a screaming 9,000 RPM redline whilst producing 475 bhp paired with the 7-Speed PDK system with a top speed of 196 mph. The rear-axle steering utilises electric actuators turn the rear wheels opposite to the front at low speeds (for agility) and parallel at high speeds (for stability).

Porsche does not officially publish exact production breakdowns by paint colour and market region for the 991 generation, meaning there is no single official factory number for UK-supplied 991.1 GT3s in Dark Blue Metallic (Code M5X / D7W). Un-official production data compiled by GT3 registry communities and Porsche enthusiast groups allows us to get extremely close.

UK Supply Volume: Roughly 400 to 450 991.1 GT3s (C16 UK specification) were delivered to the UK market between 2014 and 2016. Colour Rarity: Dark Blue Metallic was a standard catalogue metallic color (not Paint-to-Sample) for early 991 models, but it was rarely chosen on track-oriented GT cars like the GT3. Porsche buyers predominantly favored White, GT Silver, Guards Red and Agate Grey. Community registry tracking indicates that fewer than 5 to 10 UK-supplied C16 991.1 GT3s were specified in Dark Blue Metallic from the factory. Because Dark Blue Metallic was discontinued early in the 991 production run and replaced by Night Blue Metallic, 991.1 GT3s in Dark Blue Metallic remain among the rarest non-PTS specification cars delivered to the UK market.

That elevates the car from a rare spec to a potential unicorn build when paired with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) identifiable by the massive 410mm front discs and yellow caliper's the rarity becomes extreme. PCCB take Rate: On 991.1 GT3s, PCCB was an expensive option (roughly £6,200 at launch in the UK) and accounted for roughly 20–25% of total production orders. Overlapping Probabilities: Combining a 2–3% colour rarity (Dark Blue Metallic) with a 20% brake spec brings the cross-section down to around 1 or 2 cars in the entire UK C16 allocation.

This car was recently supplied through the Porsche network and there is the comfort of Porsche extended warranty until August 2029. As you would hope there is a full Porsche service history and between August 2018 and June 2024 the car was serviced 5 times but had only covered 1902 miles in this 6 year period. The last service was carried out by Porsche Chester and was a major service which included Air filter, Pollen filter, Drive Belt, Check Ancillary Unit Mounts And Chassis Visual Inspection of all Rubber Mounts, Replace Clutch Fluid PDK Transmission, Replace Spark Plugs, Tyre sealant, Water drain checks and Brake Fluid Change.
